Taylor nikole

*laughing* "A warm blanket on a soft bed on a...cold?...night..."

*amused* You live in L.A.!!!

Although...it is TRUE that it is all in perspective...what one is USED to...

So...with that thought firmly in place...I do suppose that one night in L.A. CAN be chillier than another...*smiles*

David Hayes:

I too can relate to what you are saying... as I have often desired a great team to help in different projects/tasks/workload
...then I thought...well if not a GREAT team how about a GOOD team?

How about an OKAY team?

How about a team that is breathing?

Hello?

I now CAN do a great many things by myself...but...only because of necessity.

Even moving a piano...

I have helped move several...

One time, the piano was sitting on the person's front step...and it needed to be lifted over the last rise over the bottom of the narrow doorframe.

LOTS of guys there...looking at it.

"We can't just pick it up and walk in." They said. "The space is too narrow for both us and the piano."

So I said..."Well...Some of us could go inside and reach outside...or even to the bottom at that end...and lift that end in...
and then the guys outside could pick up the outside end...and shove it forward... until it is all inside!"

Blank stares.

So I ran around to the back door...ran through the house to the front door... picked up that end of the heavy upright piano...pulled it toward me...and then lowered it down.

"So now...you guys who are outside... just pick up THAT end of the piano and shove it forward...and the piano will be inside!"

Again with the blank stares.

So I ran through the house to the back door...ran around to the front door...picked up that end of the heavy upright piano...and pushed it forward until that end was inside as well.

THEN everybody jumped into action (now that the wheels were involved) and as one...united in purpose to make the remaining task easier...they ROLLED the piano...the next five feet...into it's proper place.

I smiled and congratulated them on a job well done.

They were pleased.

I have of course experienced projects BOTH in a professional sense and a volunteer sense where EVERYONE not only pulled their weight...but wanted to be able to do more.

When it it all falls into place like that...when people truly unite and rise to the challenge...it is blissful...a thing of beauty and a great sight to behold.

And it happens JUST enough to keep me hopeful that it will someday happen again.

hmm ive found that comfy zones are good :)
especially when they can closely relate to being bundled up in a warm blanket on a soft bed... on a cold night :)
but then again stepping out gives you an unbelievable adrenaline rush and a taste of the new....

so what then do you chose? *ponder*
comfort or unfamiliar?
(hhehe sorry)

That's an amazingly wonderful observation. I know for me, I seem to be do better when I work by myself, but i KNOW that "two heads are better than one", which shows the importance of being able to communicate with different personalities while expressing your ideas at the same time. I have alot of trouble communicating and expressing my ideas due to my lack of confidence in my own idea; whats the point of thinking of your own ideas if you don't even beleive in them? Thats my problem.
You, with your sharing of ideas and evens, inspire me to change yet still remain me at the same time because you make me feel that its okay to feel comfortable with myself; thank you for that.
Good Luck with your directing!
