Have you ever had a day where you feel completely immersed in your life? You feel totally overwhelmed by the beauty of your experience you want to celebrate life with every fiber of your soul? Well, today was a day of this; Submerging myself in the truth and beauty of the world around me.
Spectacular, this humanity!
Ever feel that? I hope so.

April 22nd, 2009 at 12:53 amNot just a day, but whole weeks feeling that way!
It´s amazing how different your life can feel when you focus in all the good things around you, and everything seems to be perfect… And I know that feeling will pass and at some point I will feel blue, but when I feel blue I know what I have to do if I want to feel that way again. All I have to do it´s let it go and enjoy the present.
There´s always something good in our lives, the problem is how often we forget about it! -

April 22nd, 2009 at 4:30 amI’m sad to say I haven’t felt that way in a long time. The closest I’ve come is when a day comes that I’m able to feel such focus that I can accomplish anything and I get so much done that needed doing. At the end of the day I feel a real sense of satisfaction, and it contrasts vividly with those days that you work really hard but at the end of the day you find yourself asking “What have I actually accomplished today?” It’s a great feeling when you can sense things coming together and your goals are in reach.

April 22nd, 2009 at 5:36 amI will admit to having moments whenI felt like that — triggered by wonderful music or the successful completion of some major undertaking.
And I can say that I only have but one major regret in my life — my birth.

April 22nd, 2009 at 6:18 amyeah, sometimes. It’s like you’re sailing, steering your own ship. Good wind, clear blue skies, then you hit a rock. haha.
Happy moments- blogging and getting feedback. Checking out this site. Writing poems. Planning my first novel . Being in front of an audience (strangely that is a happy moment for me- though I’m always nervous at first but breathing helps), relaxing on the sofa in Rituals with my chocolate mint chiller with some dark chocolate, watching Smallville, being introduced to a band that I think fucking rocks as though I were listening to them all my life.
(band at the moment: VAST)
Tutorial presenation today- wish me luck guys. Topic- Fate.
I need a vacation.
One good thing this week- my friend’s birthday- she’s turning 21 this year- Yay for her. -

April 22nd, 2009 at 6:20 amHello Allison. I think I’ve definetly felt that before. It’s a great sensation and sometimes I feel invincible. Honestly, I need to start focusing on the positive in my life, and to get my head straight in situations that I loose complete control of. Then I think I’ll be able to regain those moments of true happiness.
Have a great day!

April 22nd, 2009 at 7:39 amYes, I know the feeling:-)
I believe that life is beautiful and that it is a precious gift , not to be taken for granted but, treasured.
A positive and grateful attitude makes every day more beautiful and carries me through the not-so-good-days. It is all part of the journey, I learn and come out of it stronger. The simplest of things can bring me amazing joy and inner happiness.
I’m happy for you that you felt so wonderfully good and, thanks for sharing.

April 22nd, 2009 at 7:55 amThe fact that the beauty is not in what we see but in how WE perceive that object makes happiness independent of outside world.
Some days I truly experience that, other days I just refuse to take my medication. -

More and more often I would say…every little detail, coincidence, laugh, joy makes me think about the luck I have and how special life is: it’s amazing! That last time was by a beach, alright: cold Quebec April wind hehe, but..: staring at the stars for an hour!…so inspiring and refreshing that you just can’t think about anything else but the present moment. ^^

April 22nd, 2009 at 8:14 amHi Allison
I guess I usually do that with museums and the architecture just letting go. To be immersed in the surroundings. I find myself doing so with I guess spiritual things a lot, feeling a oneness with them (Jesus, Mary). But that might however, take you out of the world. But it’s a great feeling to being immersed in something you love uammm

April 22nd, 2009 at 9:07 amEvery once and a while I allow myself have days like that, but not as often as I should do.
More often than not I get caught up it becoming irritated, annoyed, worried about such unimportant trivial issues of day to day events.
Although, even on those darker days I still try to grab a moment or two (no matter how silly), be it a sunrise, listening to the birds singing or throwing a stick with my dog, saying hello to someone new, laughing with friends…I guess we should all take in more and treasure these moments , as each one is unique and will never come again. -

All of the struggle that you have to go through to get to THAT day makes you want to savor every little delicious nuance of it….I am happy that you are so happy…..wishing you more exultant days to come!!!!

April 22nd, 2009 at 11:42 amHi Allison – Good to hear from you again! Yes, I often feel that sense of urgency that if I don’t do it now that I will never get that same chance, that same opportunity again. What if I get 5 things thrown at me at the same time..then I am forever the optimist and think “I can juggle it all…I’ve done it before, I can do it again, and my life will be that much fuller.” I go down that path, until something outside of my own brain says otherwise…whether it’s my body, the clock, or another person’s feelings. But that’s just how I am and I haven’t changed it…. my husband thinks I’m crazy at times, but I think of myself as living to my fullest potential!

April 22nd, 2009 at 12:02 pmI have had this feeling SO many times in my life. It is hard to narrow it down. I think that I am just so naturally inspired by humanity and “life” that I get overwhelmed frequently.
I feel like that sometimes when my band student’s are having a really amazing performance. I will be mid-conducting and become so overwhelmed with the music that is pouring from our collective efforts. My students are between the ages of 11-14, but the music that they can create transcends any inmaturity in the group and just speaks to the soul. Being in the middle of that, having any part of it makes me feel totally alive!

April 22nd, 2009 at 12:07 pmunfortunately i have not felt this lately. I think the condition of today’s society is kinda bearing down on my mood. It’s hard for me to feel a feeling that substantial when i look around and am reminded that the world is in crisis.

April 22nd, 2009 at 12:31 pmI’ve had a few days like that now and then. I remember this one moment though, I was alone at work and just happen to look out the window at a sunset. Then and there, I was struck by the total beauty of my life and everything. The room just faded away, and there was just me and the sun. It just took my breath away. It was a moment of clarity.

-Being surrounded by happy people

April 23rd, 2009 at 1:53 amI never knew this feeling during my more selfish days, but luckily they’re over with now. I still remember the first time I felt that way, I was asked to help somebody who was having financial difficulties. I didn’t understand what I could do to help as I had no money myself at the time, and then someone told me something that changed my whole view on life.
“If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart.”
These words have been stuck in my mind ever since! When I look back now, It’s sad to say, but it had never occurred to me that my time and experience could be more valuable than money!
Glad your back!

– No, but I wish I’ve had. I’m sorry, but I can’t tell you more for it’s too private to put it on the web.
…Well, a faithful heart makes wishes come true. So I hope that one day I’ll be able to answer this question with “Yes!”.

April 25th, 2009 at 2:33 amMy friends and family amaze me. People have come and gone, but our time together shapes me into who I am, who I will become. My Mom is the best. She is awesome, and I wish I was like her in many ways.
One recent experience was driving to my meet my best friend one night. It started raining very hard, but I enjoyed it. I got to enjoy hearing the rain pounded on the roof of the car. Watching the lightning light up the sky so brightly. Listening to some great music on the radio.
For some reason, that 40 minute drive was remarkable to me. Like the storm was an example of how powerful the world can be. I’ll never forget it.

I can’t help but to smile back at the rising sun and say hello to the clouds of witness to such a beautiful day!
