So, I landed in Prague and realized I have not seen my best friend in six months. I am going to direct my attention to her for the evening. Friends are good. Friends are important.
I love her.
Talk tomorrow.

May 17th, 2009 at 9:53 amAllison, at least you got to your best friend within the year. I haven’t seen my two bfs for some years now. One is always busy (career chick and soon to be mommy) and the other moved.
Direct your full attention to her.
Don’t look any other way.

May 17th, 2009 at 10:09 amWelcome to Europe Allison!
Friends are indeed very important. One of my closest friends is getting married next month, and I know things will change a lot from now on… But I know it depends on us to mantain our friendship through our separate ways.
Sometimes you don´t see someone in a few days and then you feel like you never knew them. But with other people you may not see them in months and when you meet again, it´s like you were together yesterday.
Hope you enjoy your time in Prague and with your friend!

May 17th, 2009 at 10:27 amHi Alison,
This is Kelly…I randomly met you in the airport yesterday….sorry for acting a little star-struck! ;o)I am glad that you made it to Prague. I hope that your play rehersals go well and the show is a hit!
I noticed that you will be in my home town soon (Northampton) so we may meet again soon! My brother in-law is mad about all things Superman….including Smallville so he is currently very jealous that I had the privilege to meet you in person!
Thanks for the autograph and have a safe journey home!

May 17th, 2009 at 11:42 amFriends are indeed very important. I have two good friends I see a couple of times a year and female friends across the world. They make me feel loved and appreciated. That’s all I ever wanted.
It’s sounds incredible but, friendship from a distance really works too. Some of my dearest friends live far away but, they’re always there for me. And, I’m committed to go visit as often as I can throughout my life.Wishing you a wonderful time with your friend.

May 17th, 2009 at 4:30 pmFriendship is the universe’s greatest gift. I have five amazing friends: one for each mood. I don’t have acquaintances;if I need to put a last name in my phone to remember a person they don’t belong in my phone.
A little story of friendship,
My Best friend from freshman year just got married in Atlanta. Last November we went to Costa Rica together- We knew it would be our last time as single gals, so we made it all about quality time.
My friend has a limp and often needs help getting up stairs or curbs. For twenty years that has been my job, a job I take pride in. During the wedding and reception I was fine. I danced, talked, and laughed. When it was time for them to leave I stood by the car waiting to help her in. Of course her new husband strode ahead of me and helped her in the vehicle. I lost it. I cried my eyes out. It hit me that she would have someone else to take care of her. To do my job.
Of course I know that I’ll visit, etc. But once a friend gets married, has kids, it’s different.
Have a fabulous trip, Enjoy your friend.

May 18th, 2009 at 7:28 amI’m sorry to say I’ve never been to Prague, although I’ve been to a number of other eastern European cities. Prague has a bit of a reputation in the UK as the place to go on stag-nights and lads weekends so a lot of people avoid it unless going for those reasons.

May 18th, 2009 at 9:17 amI’ve got a funny one about friends too.
‘Good friends will be there to take your drink away when they think you’ve had enough-but your best friends will look at you trippin over your own two feet and say, “Bitch, drink the rest of that. You know we don’t waste that kinda shit!” ‘

May 18th, 2009 at 11:44 am“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” ~ C.S. Lewis
And there’s nothing like meeting new people and discovering a whole new world through them. I’ve got a very large new group of friends via the Metropolis Superman Celebration that I’ve become close with over the past year or so. We’re all so much alike and also so wonderfully different that I wish I’d met them years ago.
